Barbara Pravi is a singer-songwriter known for advocating for women’s rights, notably through her speeches every March 8th since 2018.
In 2021, she represented France at Eurovision and secured second place with her song „Voilà,“ which became an international anthem (Diamond single internationally and Platinum in France). That same year, she won the Sacem Grand Prize for Song of the Year, and she was crowned Female Revelation at the 2022 Victoires de la Musique with her album „On n’enferme pas les oiseaux” (We Don’t Cage Birds).
After a tour of 120 dates in over 20 countries with sold out shows – her tour across the Netherlands in 2023 was especially sold out in every venue, she proves she is definitively an artist who sings, vibrates, and exists for her audience.
She describes her concerts as spectacles because they are „more“ than just a simple singing tour. It’s true; she doesn’t just sing, she tells stories. When she dances, one can’t tell if she’s from Africa, Israel, or a bird’s nest. When she sings, she smiles, and when the song ends, occasionally, she raises her fist. She sometimes rolls her „r’s“ like in an old INA footage, but she pronounces „j“ and „s“ with the mischief of a child hiding a tiny candy in her mouth. With all her being, with all her heart. She unites. She inspires. She envelops. And she sweeps everything along in her path.
After a year of absence and a brief stint in cinema, she marks her return in January 2024 with a new single, „Bravo,“ which immediately establishes itself in the French musical landscape. She recently released her second album, “La Pieva”, which she will bring to the stage in May 2025.
