The Good Witch comes to Europe
Following the announcement of her biggest headline show to date at OVO Arena Wembley on 3rd November 2023 (tickets available HERE), Maisie Peters has released new single, ‘Lost The Breakup’. Lifted from her hotly-anticipated new album, ‘The Good Witch’ – out June 16th via Gingerbread Man Records/Asylum – it forms the latest taste of her second full-length record. Listen HERE and pre-order ‘The Good Witch’ HERE.
Describing ‘The Good Witch’ as her “own twisted version of a breakup album”, Maisie shared first single ‘Body Better’ in January – a vulnerable track inspired by the superficial insecurities that arose in the aftermath of a breakup (explored further in a self-penned essay for Glamour UK). Now, she shares another snapshot of her heartbreak journey in the form of the Oscar Görres-produced ‘Lost The Breakup’, a fantasy of the moment she realises she’s come off better than her ex.
“If Body Better was me at my lowest, Lost The Breakup was me clawing my way back up and out”, Maisie shares. “It feels like dressing up in sequins and going to a party with your best friends, like cheap champagne and smudged lipstick and burgers on the floor at 3am. It’s a manifestation song and maybe if you sing it, it will come true (it did for me)”.
With another packed live schedule in 2023, Maisie will play a sold-out show at Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo on 27th April, a headline slot at Liverpool’s Sound City on 30th April and a sold-out homecoming show at Brighton Dome as part of The Great Escape Festival on 12th May, where she’s confirmed as one of the two 2023 Spotlight Shows alongside Arlo Parks.
